Foreign Ministry: Russia, Venezuela to expand economic cooperation

MOSCOW, Aug 20 (PRIME) -- Russia and Venezuela will expand economic cooperation including new opportunities in the mining and machinery industries, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told PRIME on Tuesday.

“We are not discussing economic aid issues, but economic cooperation issues,” the official said to answer a question whether Venezuela’s Vice President Delcy Rodriguez has arrived in Moscow to ask for expansion of economic help.

“We continue working on a series of projects, there are some directions which suggest new opportunities, including mining and machinery projects. We continue large-scale grain deliveries to Venezuela. As far as I know, the discussions began yesterday at the government level.”
